Why do you study cells?

The survey respondents work at organizations that engage in significant levels of life science research. The respondents themselves represent both management-level and staff researchers, all involved in cell biology research.

Job Titles
A third (36%) of respondents have management titles; half (52%) are scientists or professors; and, 11% are post docs/research associates.

Areas of Interest and Research
Respondent indicated a broad range of research interests, with cell signaling (62%) as the most predominant.

Type Of Organization
Half (53%) the respondents work for public organizations (universities, hospitals, etc.).  A third (36%) work for harmaceutical/biopharmaceutical/biotechnology companies.
